There is a breathtaking world outside the hustle & bustle of the city,  where the lush rainforest covered mountains meet the crystalline ocean waves.  On this tour you’ll explore a side of Rio that only locals know about.  

This “Tropical Paradise” is located in the west part of Rio, roughly 1 hour from Copacabana.  Spending a day with us, riding with the top down, breathing in all the sights and smells will absolutely melt your worries away.   

 

We depart from the south side of Rio and once reaching the Barra neighborhood we cut to the beach front.  Top-down in our Jeep you’ll soak in the endless coastlines, from Barra, to Recreio dos Banderiantes, to Prainha, to Grumari.  We’ll pass Grumari beach (don’t worry we’ll be back) and venture to the other side of the mountain.

Shortly after the descent, we arrive  at the start of our hike.  We save about 2.5 hours for our hike & exploration.  Once you reach the top of the “Telegraph Rock” you’ll understand why its such a well kept secret — from this altitude you can see all of Rio: Pedra da Gavea, Restinga de Marambaia (an incredible 42k sand bar that stretches along the ocean), all the beaches you passed on the drive, and if you’re lucky on a clear day you can even see the Christ Statue!

Be sure to take some time to relax, inhale, and enjoy the breathtaking natural design of Rio.  After spending some good quality time with nature, we’ll get back in the jeep and journey back to Grumari beach.  We’ll stop at a lovely secluded wooden beach kiosk where the water is always calm enough to take a dip.  Get your tan on while your lunch is being freshly prepared.  Enjoy your lunch at and soak in the stunning views.  You’ll quickly learn why we call this tour the Tropical Paradise!
